“Government of India is misleading world community over custodial killings, forced disappearances, illegal detentions, torture and other numerous human rights abuses. Let world community ask India to give Kashmiri’s their fundamental right of self determination,” Engineer Rashid, MLA Langate, Kashmir said in Srinagar while leading a protest march of Awami Itehad Party in Sher-e- Kashmir Park area on the eve of International Human Rights Day. One simple question arises here that how an elected MLA who has taken oath and allegiance of the Indian Constitution should rake the issue of disputed nature of the State of Jammu and Kashmir and demand for so called self determination of the people of the State, that for all practical purposes has been the part and parcel of the Indian Union since time immemorial. Doesn’t, Engineer Rashid’s anti national utterances amount to the sedition, is a Million Dollar question to ponder over ?
