“Rangroots” elects its new body

JAMMU, Nov 24: Rangroots- a theatre group of Jammu which also has its office in Delhi elected its new governing body here today. The general body in its meeting unanimously elected Santanu Bose as the Chairman, Asheish Nijhawan as president, Mohd. Yaseen as the vice president, Natasha as general secretary, Aarushi Thakur as secretary, Gaurav Jamwal as their treasurer and Ashwani Bali, Shivam Manhas, Uplaksh Singh as members.
The general body also resolved to work for the promotion of art, culture, languages and theatre in particular. The group was formed by the alumni of National School of Drama in the year 2012. Since then, they have produced two major productions, one of which, “Frozen Dreams” was a multilingual experimental theatrical performance and the other play “Boharan” was Kashmiri play based on Rabindernath Tagore’s last speech ‘civilization in crisis’.
