Randhir re-elected NCP chief

JAMMU, Apr 2: A veteran leader and former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh was today unanimously re-elected as president of Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) during election here.
The name of Singh for the post of president was declared by Krishan Kumar Digra, chairman, State election authority, appointed by the Central election authority of NCP, New Delhi.
Singh was the youngest MLA elected to the State Assembly in 1962 from Kathua and continued to be elected from Billawar for 3 terms. Thakur Randhir Singh has looked after most portfolios like Transport, Excise and Taxation, Information, Tourism, Relief and Rehabilitation and Ladakh Affairs.
