JAMMU, Apr 13: MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, here today started the much-awaited construction work of lanes and drains in Ward No. 3 of Jammu Cantonment.
The work was started in the presence of Bharat Bhushan, vice chairman, Cantonment Board Jammu along with prominent local dignitaries including Sahil Mahajan, Mandal president; Narinder Gupta, Jasmeet Pandey, Sanjeev Gupta, Ram Lal, Avtar Singh, Jasvir Singh and others.
This project addresses the long-pending demands of the residents, who were facing difficulties due to the lack of proper lanes and drainage facilities. Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa reiterated his commitment made during the election campaign to ensure basic infrastructure and improved living conditions for the people of the area.
He stated that development of every ward in the constituency remains his top priority and assured that no area will be left behind in terms of essential civic amenities.
Locals of the area expressed gratitude towards the MLA for fulfilling his promise and initiating the work, which they said will significantly improve sanitation and ease of living in the locality.
