JAMMU, Nov 21: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Choudhary Vikram Randhawa, today kick started construction work of lane and drain at Narwal.
Speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that it was a long pending demand of the residents of Mohalla Tarkhana, Narwal in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment which was ignored by the previous regime. He said that a deputation from the said Mohalla has met him regarding their demand and he had then assured the residents that their demand would be fulfilled soon.
He said that carrying forward the slogan of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ he has today inaugurated the construction work of lane and drain which would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 4 lakh and will benefit around 50 houses of the locality. He directed the Block Development Officer (BDO) Satwari, Shahid Mughal, who was also present on the occasion to ensure that the construction work is completed well in time.
The local residents complimented the Member Legislative Council for responding quickly to their demand as none of the Legislator had earlier paid heed to their demand. They extended whole hearted support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming future.
Those present on the occasion included Tarun Sharma, Amit Gupta, Mohinder Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Maan Singh, Garu Ram and others.
