Randhawa dedicates lane, drain to public

JAMMU, Oct 25: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today dedicated newly constructed lane and drain to the residents of Ward No-5, old Satwari in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment in the presence of the Panch, Mitlesh Kumari.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that it was the long pending demand of the local residents of Ward No-5 which now stands fulfilled. “The issue was brought to my notice few months back by the locals and I immediately directed the concerned authorities to prepare a project report and an amount of Rs 5.5 lakh was released from my CDF for the construction of the this lane and drain”, Randhawa added.
He said that the BJP is committed to bring development at the doorsteps of the people especially those areas which have been ignored by the successive regimes. He said that once the transition phase from State to Union Territory will be over, Jammu and Kashmir will witness massive development.
He said that BJP has formulated many mega projects for Jammu region also which will bring an era of development and also will provide job opportunities to thousands of unemployed youth of the area.
He also urged upon the local residents to keep their surroundings neat and clean to make ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ a dream project of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi a grand success. He urged them not to use polythene as it is badly damaging the environment.
The locals present on the occasion expressed gratitude to the MLC and extended full support to the BJP in the coming future.
