Ranbir canal be cleaned at fast pace: Kissan Morcha

JAMMU, Apr 2: BJP Kissan Morcha organized a meeting in Zila Jammu rural block Raipur Domana in which the State president of Kissan Morcha, Omi Khajuria appealed Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha to issue directives to concerned officers to get the Ranbir canal cleaning done at a fast pace.
Khajuria said the cleaning of canal be done on war footing basis so that the farmers do not face problems in irrigating their fields.
He said this year, due to very low rainfall, farmers crop has been spoiled and the crop is in dire need of water. In the Kandi area of J&K due to severe drought, crops have been damaged. At this time the wheat crop is getting ready and the farmers should be provided with a Campaign machines at every Panchayat. Besides, every possible assistance be provided to the farmers as the COVID Pandemic has also led to various problems to them, he added.
Raipur Domana block president, Ashok Sharma Kerani, district vice-president and Mandal in-charge, Babu Ram Bhagat, State Kisan Morcha media secretary, Vijay Sharma, Mandal office secretary, Raman Dhanlocha, Ajay Sharma and other activists were present.
