JAMMU, Feb 17: Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council Javed Ahmad Rana expressed his resentment for not providing medical college to twin border districts Rajouri and Poonch.
He said this while interacting with a delegation from Rajouri and Poonch districts today.
He stated that it is not judicious approach adopted by the Central Government against the twin border districts. “We are not against any region but our demand is most genuine and it was long pending demand of the people”, he added.
Rana said that the rail link for the twin districts was already abandoned due to unknown reasons, for which there is great resentment among the public.
Our people have already suffered due to militancy, firing and shelling across the border.
The Pir Panchal range deserves medical college/rail link because the area is the most backward and situated on the LoC.
Deputy Chairman called for unanimous resolution for sanctioning of a medical college for Pir Panchal belt.
