BHALWAL Mar 28: Provincial President National Conference Jammu Devender Singh Rana today made a fervent appeal to all political parties to eschew tendencies of indulging in rhetoric, saying this will only help those trying to disturb peace and tranquility. He urged all political parties to rise above political considerations and unitedly defeat elements iminical to peace and harmony in J&K.
“We have undergone most traumatic phase for over two decades and the peace restored and sustained during the past over four years can’t be allowed to become hostage to the disruptive elements”, Mr Rana said while addressing party workers here.
He said the State is traversing on the path of normalcy and attempts being made to derail this process can’t succeed as the people have made a firm resolve to give peace a good chance. He said disturbed conditions have only brought miseries to the people, irrespective of religion or region and the determined efforts of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have resulted in discernible turnaround. “This has become an eyesore for many who find their political enterprises dismantled and so efforts to create disharmony”. He asked people to maintain unity and not allow the situation to take such a turn where hate mongers have a field day to vitiate the atmosphere.
The Provincial President hoped good sense shall prevail upon all especially those remaining in search of such situations which they tend to use for furthering their mischievous agenda because any such attempt will only help those elements who want to disturb the State and its people.
Mr. Rana said National Conference has fought for the peace and stability in J&K and will continue to do so to uphold the communal harmony, brotherhood and secularism of J&K. He said the integrity of the state is a mission of the National Conference and it is ready to make any sacrifice for the same as it has done in the past. He said the history is witness that as and when any force external or internal tried to bring misery to the people of J&K the National Conference and its leadership stood like an iron wall for its people and even made sacrifices of life to uphold the welfare of the people of J&K.
