14 bovines rescued, 3 held

JAMMU, Mar 28: Police today rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers from Bantalab area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, a police team from Nagrota police station led by SDPO Khalik Choudhary laid a naka near Bantalab and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK13A-8675.
During checking, police rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers, who have been identified as Tariq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, Reyaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Ahmed and Bilal Ahmed, son of Abdul Gafoor, all residents of Brijbehara, Kashmir.
A case under FIR number 94/14 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PC Act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
