JAMMU, Mar 29: Ram Kumar Sharma, who is superannuating on March 31, will continue to work as State Chairman of the J&K College Non-Teaching Employees Association till the next arrangement.
A formal decision in this regard was taken during a State level meeting of the Central committee and college executive members of the Association, held here today under the chairmanship of Javed Ahmed Akhoon, the State president and Ram Kumar Sharma.
“We made a forceful plea to Ram Kumar Sharma to continue to guide the Association and State employees even after his retirement from the Government service and he accepted our request,” said Javed Ahmad Akhoon while talking to media persons after the meeting.
He lauded the selfless services rendered by Ram Kumar Sharma as a trade union leader and social activist who has been working for the cause of employees and weaker sections of the society.
The meet also elected a new provincial adhoc committee comprising Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Kuldeep Singh, Ashiq Hussain, Raj Kumar, Yakeen Mohd, Madan Singh, Amar Pal, Tara Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Sunil Pandita, Ali Ahmed, Rajinder Verma, Payare Lal, Dawood Iqbal, Chahattar Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Noor Alam, Sham Lal, Krishan Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Abdul Hameed, Abdul Rashid, Vinod Bali, Kuldeep Sharma, Parladh Singh, Rattan Tikoo, Shanta Kumari, Meenakshi Gupta, Abida Begum and Renu Jasrotia.
Representatives of various employees organizations, who included Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari, Balwan Singh Jamwal, Javed Ahmed Akhoon, Yakeen Mohd, Parshotam Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Babu Hussain Malik and others, were also present on the occasion.
