SAMBA, Mar 23: People of Chak Manga Rakwal area of Samba including women also held a demonstration at Main Chowk Samba and blocked the National Highway against opening of wine shops in their residential areas.
A large number of people of this area participated in the protest and said that they have given a memorandum to ADC Samba and SSP Samba and claimed that two wine shops are going to be shifted in Chak Manga Rakwal area of Samba district, which is not acceptable to them. Dy SP Samba and SHO Samba reached the spot and tried to convince the people to lift the road blockade but agitated people did not agree. They demanded that concerned authorities should visit the protest venue and give assurance to them.
After that ETO Excise and Taxation Officer Samba Varinder Singh Billowria rushed to the spot .The agitating people asked them as well as district administration Samba to take cognizance of their grievance for protecting future of the young generation.
