Pir Panchal organizes programme for women

JAMMU, Mar 23: To make women aware about the values of health and nutrition, Pir Panchal (CESESS) organized a programme at Radio Sharda complex here today.
Dr Jyoti Hak a well known Gynecologist was the chief guest on the occasion while Prof Nirojni Bhat Bhan, Pritiba Sopori and Manju Raina were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Neelam Razdan Wali coordinator of the project Science for women sponsored by National Council for Science Technology and Communication Department of Science and Technology Government of India represented the Pir Panchal.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Jyoti Hak threw light on the child and mother care in and after pregnancy. She said health aware and conscious mothers can give birth to healthy babies. So the health and nutrition for pregnant mothers should be priority of every one in the society.
Prof Nirojni Bhat Bhan spoke on the nutritional aspect of women in general and said that women should take care of their health and have sufficient nutrition as they are the back bone of every home.
Preetiba Sopori and Manju Raina also spoke on the occasion. Coordinator for Health and Nutrition Project Neelam Razdan Wali gave details of the survey report conducted among the 1000 families in Jammu and its implementation through Radio Sharda by making 365 programmes sponsored by NSCTC Department of Science and Technology GoI.
