KATRA, July 20: Social worker, philanthropist and founder Chairman of The Vaishnodevi Group & Katra Mata Vaishnodevi Hotels & Restaurants Pvt Ltd, Krishan Lal Thakur passed away today at SMVD Narayana Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for Cancer and other ailments.
He is survived by his wife, daughter Shashi Thakur (Dy SP J&K Police) and two sons, including Rakesh Wazir- President of Hotels & Restaurants Association, Katra & Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jammu Region.
Krishan Lal Thakur also remained President of Katra Development Committee, the social organization which fought for the causes of Katra and was associated with various social activities.
According to the family members, the cremation shall take place on Tuesday at Ban Ganga Cremation Ghat , Katra at 1 pm.
