Rajouri Police organises symposium on ‘Drug Abuse in New Generation’

RAJOURI, Mar 19: District Police Rajouri today organized a symposium on topic ‘Drug Abuse in New Generation’ at Government Degree College, Budhal under ‘Civic Action Programme’, here today.
Over 300 students of various schools and colleges participated in the event.
The function was attended by prominent citizens, Sarpanchs, Panchs and Staff of various Schools of the area.
On the occasion, 21 students spoke on the topic and highlighted the various facets to prevent the youth/society from drugs.
Shahnawaz, Gulfam Akhter and Ziafat bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
On this occasion, Dr B B Kumar Sharma, Principal Government Degree College Budhal was the chief guest and Israr Ahmed, Tehsildar Koteranka was the guest of honour, who distributed cash prizes and certificates among the winners and other participating students. Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan, Additional SP Rajouri said that it is the duty of every citizen of this country to contribute towards drug-free society and help Police to curb smuggling / menace of drugs from the country.
