JAMMU, Apr 2: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar took stock of the security arrangements for the swearing in ceremony of the Government, scheduled to be held on April 4, 2016, at a meeting of senior police officers held at Zonal Police Headquarters here this evening.
The meeting had threadbare discussions regarding the arrangements put in place for the ceremony. Offices present in the meeting briefed the DGP about the security and deployment plan,   besides the routes leading to the Raj Bhawan. It was told that all precautionary arrangements would be made to make the ceremony peaceful and secure.
Mr. Rajendra asked the officers to ensure security of the routes leading to Raj Bhawan including airport road and other routes in the city. He said that guest houses, where the VIPs would be staying should also be sanitized by deploying sufficient manpower for their security. He said that safe passage of the VIPs from airport and other routes towards the venue should be reviewed by the Zonal Officers supervising the security of different areas.
DGP asked the officers to ensure efficient traffic management in the city to make the function hassle free. He said that parking of vehicles should be focussed on priority to avoid inconvenience to the VIPs and other guests. He said that the ceremony is expected to be attended by a large number of dignitaries and guests and a better traffic management would be major task, which should be tackled in a professional manner.
The meeting was attended by ADGP CID, SM Sahai, IGPs, Yoginder Koul, Jagit Kumar and Danish Rana, Director SSG, SA Mujtaba, DIG Jammu, AA Wani, SSPs, Virander Sharma, Sunil Gupta, Romesh Angral, Mohan lal, Udaybhaskar Billa, Ashok Sharma, SPs, Romesh Kotwal, Shazad Salaria, Nasir Ahmed, Arun Gupta, Mamta Sharma, Ajit Lal Dogra, Shamshar Hussain, SO to IGP, Ashok Kumar and other police officers.
