Arrangements for Purmandal Chhari Mubarak Yatra reviewed

JAMMU, Apr 2: A joint meeting of Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir (SLNM) Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar; Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) and J&K Dharmarth Trust (JKDT) was held here today to discuss and review the arrangements for 19th holy Chhari Mubarak Yatra on ‘Chetar Chaudash’ falling on April 6.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, president, SLNM Management Trust and chairman, Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee.
Giving details about the Yatra, Charak that Shobha Yatra of 19th Chhari Mubarak will commence from Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Parade Ground at 8 am on April 6 and after offering prayers at Shri Raghunath Ji temple the holy mace will reach Lakshami Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar at 8:30 am where Chhari Poojan will be performed.
“Later the holi Chharies will be taken to Purmandal in a decorated Rath via Mahadev Temple Gandhi Nagar and Shiv Temples at Trikuta nagar and Greater Kailash. Before reaching Purmandal the Yatra will be received and welcomed at the temples of Shree Narsing Dev Ji and Data Ranpat Dev at Birpur”, he said, adding at Kharah Madana village the Yatra will be welcomed by the locals led by the members of Sikh and Muslim communities.
Representatives of JKDT, Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, concerned Government departments of districts Jammu and Samba, civil society besides police and security agencies also participated in the meeting.
The prominent members among others who participated in the meeting were SC Rekhi, Shashi Khajuria, Shiv Kumar Singh, Deepak Gupta, Kulbushan Bali, SP Arora, Prithvi Raj Vaid and Sanjeev Gupta.
