Rajendra reviews functioning of Armed Police

JAMMU, Dec 21: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed and Law and Order K. Rajendra Kumar today chaired a meeting of Commandants of Armed and Indian Reserve Police, to review the functioning of Battalions of Jammu Range. Threadbare discussions were held to bring more improvements in the functioning of Armed Police in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajendra said that various events and activities were conducted during the year  under Civic Action Programme including Youth Promotional Sports Camp, Jammu Marathon, Jashn-e-Dal, Volleyball Tournaments, Police Martyrs, Memorial Football Tournament and All India Police Hockey Championship, recently held at Jammu.
During the meeting, Mr. Rajendra exhorted upon the participants for setting up of objectives and targets for the coming year . He also impressed upon them for starting preparations for the upcoming events including celebration of Republic Day, Inter Battalion Tournament, Inter Zone Sports Meet, Police Public Mela and other cultural events. He asked the Commandants to hold Darbars of Jawans on regular basis and solve their problems. He said that darbars are a better way to establish bonds with the ranks.
Among others the meeting was attended by DIGs T. Punchok and Johny William, SO to ADGP, Mansoor Ahmad Untoo and Commandants of all Jammu based Armed, IRP Battalions.
