Rajasthan delegation to visit Punjab to woo investors

JAIPUR, Apr 27:  To promote Rajasthan as an investor friendly destination, a government delegation, including industry leaders will be visiting Punjab.
Minister of Medical and Health Rajendra Rathore, who is leading the delegation, will visit Ludhiana ahead of the roadshow on April 30.
“Ahead of the roadshow, we will be in Ludhiana to acquaint potential investors about investment opportunities in Rajasthan,” Rathore said.
The delegation will comprise of Secretary and Commissioner Agriculture & Horticulture, Kuldeep Ranka, Assistant General Manager, Business Promotion, RIICO Sunil Gupta and officials from Confederation of Indian Industry, Jaipur chapter and Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP).
“A presentation will be made by Ranka highlighting the sectorwise policy environment of the state to promote investment,” Rathore added.
The presentation will also outline the process for setting up a friendly business environment in Rajasthan.
The main focus of the roadshow is to identify potential investors from Punjab and invite them to participate in the upcoming Resurgent Rajasthan Summit to be held in Jaipur on November 19-20, a spokesperson said here today.
The roadshow will include one-on-one meetings of potential investors with the officials.
Rajasthan government has organised number of roadshows — both overseas and in India — to showcase investment potential, invite investment proposals and promote the Summit.
Earlier roadshows were held in Germany, Japan, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai and have attracted the interest of various investors.
The Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit, scheduled to be held in Jaipur on November 19-20, will bring together investors from all over the world for interaction with policy makers and local business leaders for investment opportunities in the state. (PTI)
