Railways to give full refund for all tickets from March 21-April 14

NEW DELHI, Mar 28: Indian Railways will give full refund of tickets booked for March 21 to April 14, due to cancellation of trains in view of coronavirus outbreak. This will be in addition and in continuation of the relaxations in refund rules and instructions dated March 21, 2020.

For counter booked PRS tickets, tickets cancelled prior to March 27, 2020, the TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) is to be filed by the with journey details by filling a form to Chief Commercial Manager (CCM)(Claims) or Chief Claims Officer (CCO) of any Zonal Railways Head Quarters up to June 21, 2020, for availing balance refund amount. Railways shall provide a utility through which the passenger can avail refund of balance amount so deducted during cancellation of such tickets. For tickets cancelled after March 27, 2020, there will be full refund payable in respect of all such cancellation.  Regarding e-tickets, tickets cancelled prior to March 27: Balance refund amount shall be credited to the account of the passenger from which tickets was booked. IRCTC shall prepare a utility for providing the balance refund amount.

Tickets cancelled after 27-03-2020, there will be full refund in respect of all such cancellations for which provisions has already been made, an official release here said. (UNI)
