PK demands fumigation of Jagti TRTs

JAMMU, Mar 28: Panun Kashmir (PK) has demanded sanitization and fumigation in Jagti township which is potentially a high risk area vis-a-vis COVID-19 because both number and density make it vulnerable for the same.
In a joint statement issued here, today, PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo said that about 4200 displaced Kashmiri Pandit families put up in this township. Knowing the grave sensitivity of the situation, it is implored and impressed upon Government authorities in general and Relief Commissioner in particular to come to fore with much-needed pre-emptive measures viz fumigation and sanitation on regular basis, ensuring the availability of sanitizers before each block besides addressing the problem of paucity of medicines in the concerned hospital, proper vigil and restriction on the movement of people at both the entry and exit points of the camp.
The two leaders also demanded same provisions be made for other camps i.e Nagrota TRT, Muthi and Buta Nagar TRTs and Purkhoo TRT.
