Rail passengers face tough time in absence of windshields

Excelsior Correspondent
Srinagar, Nov 22: Passengers travelling in Banihal-Baramulla trains are facing hardships in absence of windshields and windowpanes as Railway Authorities have failed to maintain these trains.
The passengers told Excelsior that the winter is approaching but the Railway Authorities have not taken any step to start repair work. The windshields and windowpanes have been damaged allegedly in stone-throwing incidents on various occasions this year.
Urging the Railway Authorities to repair the damages, the passengers said it would be difficult for them to travel during winter if the work is not done.
Chief Railway Controller, Vikramjeet Singh, said by the end of November all the broken window panes will be replaced.
