UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: A quiz competition on Math and Science was organized by J&K State Science, Technology and Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Udhampur at Government Model HSS (Boys) here today.
A total of 11 teams from GHS and GHSS students from different schools participated in the competition.
The competition was held at Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. In Secondary Level, first position was shared by GHSS Boys Udhampur and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur, second position was clinched by GHS Battal Ballian and third position was bagged by GHSS Garhi.
In Senior Secondary Level, first position was secured by Bobby Deol, Vinod Sharma and Atish of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Udhampur, second position was secured by Mehul Kalsotra, Ritik Singh and Tushar Mehra of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Udhampur and third Position was clinched by Shruti, Anamika Sharma and Simran Kour of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion, Ved Parkash Sharma, Principal of the school highlighted the importance of such competitions and exhorted all the students to take part in such type competitions for the all-round development of their personalities.
Later, medals and certificates were distributed among the winning teams.
The Math and Science Quiz was organized under the supervision of Joginder Gupta, Senior Lecturer Maths and Virinder Gupta, Lecturer Education of the Institution.
