Quality health care right of everybody: Pathania

UDHAMPUR, Dec 16: While inaugurating Annual Health Mela at Thial organised by Durga Dass Memorial Charitable Society and Directorate of Health Services, Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar called for providing qualitative health care facilities to the public particularly in far flung and inaccessible areas where access to healthcare is still a far-fetched reality.
He directed the Department to take necessary measures so that adequate manpower is available at the Health centres situated in far flung and inaccessible areas
Lauding the efforts of Durga Dass Memorial Society and Directorate of Health Services for organising this annual Health Mela where renowned medicos of the State are available for public,  Pathania said that there is dire need to organise such events in far flung and inaccessible  arras, especially Dudu Basantgarh area of Ramnagar Constituency.
He further said that clean drinking water in each and every health care institute will be made available. He  issued directions for availability of medicines for needy public at each sub-centre and displaying stock position of drugs and medicines at prominent place in the hospital for the benefit of “Aam-Aadmi”.
He said that Digital X-Ray facility at health institutes of Ramnagar, Bharnara, Majalta and Basantgarh will be provided shortly.
MLA Ramnagar informed that issue of construction of additional blocks for SDH Ramnagar, PHC’s of  Basantgarh, Bharnara and Majalta has been taken up with Government and it would be shortly taken up under PMDP.
Concluding his address MLA Ramnagar said that medical profession is the most pious profession and asked the medicos and para-medicos to work with zeal, dedication and sincerity so that sufferings of public can be mitigated.
