SRINAGAR, Feb 17: A moderate intensity earthquake hit Kashmir valley early this morning.
The tremor with an intensity of 5.2 on the Richter scale that was recorded at 7:05 a.m. creating panic among the residents of the Valley.
The officials said that there was no report of any damage to property or injuries to any person. Officials said here that the epicentre of the tremor was in the Hindukush mountains in Afghanistan at Latitude 36.5 degrees North and Longitude 71.
