JAMMU, Apr 23: The Public Works (Road & Building) Department has assigned the charge of the post of Engineer-in-Chief (Secretary Technical) to Purshotam Kumar in addition to his own duties as Incharge Chief Engineer, PMGSY Jammu.
As per an order, the decision has been taken purely in the interest of administration and as an interim arrangement for the purpose of addressing the administrative exigencies.
Meanwhile, Irfan Ahmad Miskeen, incharge Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) Degree Holder, has been placed as incharge Executive Engineer (Civil) Degree Holder, in his own pay and grade on a stop-gap basis with immediate effect as prescribed in the J&K Engineering (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules 1978 amended vide SRO 297 of 2006, read with SO 281 dated October 28, 2025 till the post is filled from the eligible engineers of the relevant quota.
