KATHUA, Apr 23: Police claimed to have arrested one individual from Logate Morh area of the Kathua district and recovered approximately 9.16 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
Acting on specific inputs received through reliable sources, a team of Police Station Kathua under the guidance of Additional SP Kathua and DySP Headquarters Kathua laid a special naka at Logate Morh area of the district on April 22, a police official said.
During checking, he said, the police team arrested one individual, identified as Sachin Mehra alias Veenu of Khokhyal, Tehsil Nagri, District Kathua, and recovered 9.16 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 203/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation taken up, the police official added.
