JAMMU, June 7: The Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive) has expressed resentment over the unjustified and unreasonable stand of Board of School Education Jammu asking Heads of Private schools to give undertaking that they shall be personally liable for any mistake or omissions in filing the forms of registration for 9th class students.
In a statement, the Association said that the undertaking, being asked to be affirmed on stamp paper duly attested by Magistrate Ist Class, is most harsh act of red tapism slapped on private institutions without application of mind as the same never happened before. Maintaining that the  individual student and  institution concerned are otherwise answerable and  liable for any deliberate act or deficiencies, the Association sought to know the purpose of  this new cumbersome exercise involving time, money and physical fatigue.
Further, the Association said, the DIET has gone one step ahead for registration of students for 8th class students asking compulsorily to have innovative ideas from any two students from class 6th to 10th involving so many other formalities to be filling. “It is strange as to how this can be done when the Institutions are off for summer vacations up to 17th July 2017. The innovative ideas can be had from students only when the schools reopen,” the Association said and urged upon the concerned authorities / DIET, Jammu to look into the matter deeply and simplify the system instead of putting the system to great complications. The BOSE should also accept the undertaking on letter heads of schools instead of adopting a complex route, the Association said.
