Absconding drug peddler lands in police net

JAMMU, June 7: An absconding drug peddler, who was evading his arrest for the past 14 years landed in Kanachack police net.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Kanachack police station conducted raid and arrested an absconding drug peddler, who was evading his arrest since 2003.
The accused has been identified as Ravinder Singh, son of Sagar Singh, a resident of Mishriwala.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 56/2003 under section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act with Kanachack police station. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against the accused by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Naresh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Verinder Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
