Purchase Committee for procurement of pipes under JJM

JAMMU, Oct 27: In pursuance of the Administration Council’s decision, Government today constituted a UT Level Purchase Committee for finalization of rate contract and approval of Standard Bid Document prepared by the Jal Shakti Department for procurement of Pipes under JJM for rural water supply scheme.
Headed by the Development Commissioner, Works (PWD), the committee shall finalize and approve the Standard bid Document on the basis of the requirement submitted by the Chief Engineer.
The committee shall analyse and approve the Tender Evaluation Report to be submitted by the concerned Chief Engineer before placing of supply orders for the manufacturers.
The Purchase Committee shall frame a Tender Evaluation Committee, which shall fix the technical particulars of the material to be procured.
