JAMMU, June 8: Rewarding his rich contribution in the field of Higher Education and serving the society, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University (CU) was today awarded with Special Red Cross Award by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, VP Singh Badnore.
In a glittering ceremony organized by Indian Red Cross Society at Chandigarh, University Chancellor was given this honor as he was responsible in providing the best academic facilities, industry focused learning and ample number of job opportunities to the youth of the country.
In the field of serving the society Chandigarh University has signed a MoU with Indian Red Cross Society under-which university students would be encouraged to participate in community service and other social service tasks such as blood donation, Swachh Bharat, helping old and needy people by donating their belongings and tree plantation.
