RAJOURI, May 22: A large number of people from Thannamandi area are suffering badly in view of strike of the Patwaris for the last 16 days.
A large number of people from Thannamandi town and various Panchayat Halqas of the area, in the shape of a large delegation, met the SDM and Tehsildar Thannamandi in their office chamber today and narrated their woes. They claimed that due to strike of the Patwaris the public is unable to get `Nakal’ of revenue record, process their category and various other certificates including PRCs.
They said that for the last 16 days, Patwaris are on strike for their demands but the Govt must ensure that public is not put to harassment. The Tehsildar and SDM said that they were helpless in the matter and this strike was going on in the entire region.
