‘Governor’s Admn in deep slumber’

JAMMU, June 24: While alleging that Governor’s Administration was virtually in deep slumber, former minister and senior NC leader Ajay Sadhotra today claimed that Public Service Guarantee Act has been dumped by the officers at the helm of affairs.
Addressing a party workers’ meeting at Channi Mawalian in Marh constituency today, Sadhotra alleged that Governor’s Administration was in deep slumber and Public Service Guarantee Act has been put to back burner.
NC leader said it is unfortunate that Governor Administration is insensitive to the day today problems of the common man. Atmosphere of alienation has been created which is dangerous trend. No body is accountable to the problems of the common masses. Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Guarantee Act was enacted by the National Conference Government headed by Omar Abdullah to make administration accountable before common man but it is a matter of grave concern that such an important Act has been dumped and no body listens to public.
National Conference leader said this Act has also put check on corruption. By ignoring this Act, Governor Administration has given fillip to rise in corruption. Sadhotra asked Governor Administration to wake and give first attention to the problems of common man in order to check growing alienation.
Former minister further asked the Government to enforce Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Guarantee Act forcefully in real spirit so that common man gets a sigh of relief. He also emphasized on the Government to give adequate irrigation water to the farmers as they are sowing paddy.
On this occasion, a large number of BJP workers joined National Conference. Sadhotra welcomed the new entrants into the party fold and hoped that with their joining the party shall be strengthened.
