Public Outreach Prog aims to take Govt at doorsteps: Balbir

JAMMU, May 25: Initiating Public Outreach-III programme by the Union Ministers to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir is indeed a decision which will go a long way in taking the programmes and policies of the Government at the doorsteps of the people. It will obviously prove to be result oriented exercise, providing an opportunity to the people to have direct interaction with the visiting Union Ministers in their respective areas.
This was stated by Balbir Ram Rattan, spokesperson, Jammu & Kashmir, BJP, while terming the Public Outreach programmes as a bridge between the Government and the people, which will provide a friendly atmosphere for direct talk. He said that Narendra Modi Government had started Public Outreach programmes in 2020, wherein, 36 Union Ministers, visited different areas of the UT which provided easy access to the public.
In outreach- I in 2021, seventy Union Ministers had reached J&K and in this series now Outreach- III is being introduced to again make available ministers to the people.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that it is not possible for everyone to travel long to capital cities of the UT or Union Capital to meet the ministers and apprise them of their burning problems and needs. Through these Outreach Programmes, the Union Government has, really, given a big relief by deputing ministers in every area for the convenience of one and all.
The spokesperson said that the schedule of the Public Outreach-III, as announced by the Central Government, has mentioned that Union Ministers will be visiting all the 20 districts for interaction with the people.
The Schedule explains that the ministers will interact with the people, representatives of the Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs), party functionaries and review the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs), works under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) and projects under execution by the Union Territory Government.
Balbir said that task given to these ministers will enable them for inspection and review of various developmental projects and welfare schemes, which are going to ensure quality work and timely execution, thus contribute in proper implementation of every project and scheme.
It will also induce a sense of confidence, bring people more closer to Government and make them realise that Modi Government is truly committed to take all together under its slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Paryas” principle of governance.
