DC Samba holds Public Outreach Camp at Zero line Village

SAMBA, May 25: As a part of Public Outreach Programme of UT of JK Government, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today held a Public Outreach Camp under “Weekly Block Diwas” at panchayat Ghar of zero line village Chachwal of Block Rajpura and listened to the demands and grievances of public representatives and locals.
The Deputy Commissioner, during the camp, called for synergized efforts from officers for ensuring 100% saturation of the Government sponsored schemes for the border villages. It was informed that all eligible persons of village Chachwal have been sanctioned monthly old age pension, while other schemes are also nearing saturation.
She directed the field officials to prepare advance list of the grievances in coordination with PRI members so that concrete resolution on the issues or demands can be achieved on the Block Divas. “The prime motive of Block Diwas is to address the pendency, remove bottlenecks with active convergence of all the line departments at a common platform in presence of local governing bodies” said the DC samba.
Responding to the issues raised during the program, the DC sought immediate action on filling up of vacant posts of revenue field staff, making newly constructed tubewell functional, providing compensation to border farmers, construction of BADP road. She also sought detailed report on status of bunkers, health infrastructure audit, functioning of pani Samiti, RDD works and others.
The DC laid emphasis upon strengthening the provision of online revenue services including issuance of caste certificates, income certificates, domiciles, fards etc.
During the block Diwas, the Deputy Commissioner inaugurated newly installed 100 KV transformer in the Chachwal village which will not only resolve the issue of frequent power outage but also strengthen the power supply to the area.
The District Development Council member Asha Rani, Block Development Council Chairman Rajpura, Radhey Shyam; Sarpanch Veena Devi; SDM Ramkesh; BDO Shivani; Tehsildar, district officers of PDD, Health, Education, Jal Shakti, AYUSH besides others were also present in the camp.
Later, the DC also inspected the identified Amrit Sarovar Pond near BSF post Chalyari and directed concerned officers to start the work for conserving water resources.
