PTTI Vijaypur organizes multi-specialty health, cancer awareness camp

JAMMU, May 24: Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur, in collaboration with Diva International Foundation, organized a one-day mega multi-specialty health and cancer awareness camp at the Institute premises today for police trainees, staff members and their families.
The camp was inaugurated by Ranjit Singh Sambyal, Principal PTTI Vijaypur, in the presence of Amardeep Singh Sasan, Chairman and CEO of Diva International Foundation, senior officers and other dignitaries.
A team of around 30 senior doctors, medical specialists and para-medical staff from reputed hospitals and healthcare institutions participated in the camp and provided expert medical services throughout the day.
A large number of police trainees, ministerial staff, subordinate staff and their family members attended the camp and availed free medical consultations, diagnostic tests and medicines.
The camp offered general OPD consultations, blood pressure and diabetes screening, eye examination and vision testing, laboratory investigations and cancer awareness counselling.
Specialized consultations were also provided in Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Neurology, ENT, Gynaecology and Oncology.
Doctors stressed the importance of regular health check-ups, healthy lifestyle practices and early diagnosis of diseases, particularly cancer and other lifestyle-related ailments.
Awareness sessions were also conducted to educate participants about preventive healthcare and timely medical intervention.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranjit Singh Sambyal appreciated the efforts of Diva International Foundation and the participating doctors for organizing the humanitarian initiative at PTTI Vijaypur. He said such healthcare and awareness programmes are important for police personnel and trainees who work under demanding conditions.
He also expressed gratitude to the visiting doctors and medical staff for rendering their valuable services for the welfare of the police fraternity.
Later, the participating doctors and medical experts were honoured with mementoes by the Institute authorities.
Among others present were DySPs Khushwant Singh, Satish Kumar and Sonali Kohli, besides faculty members, officers of the Institute and officials of Diva International Foundation.
