PSLF takes up issues with Azad

JAMMU, Dec 21: Pahari Speaking Lawyer Forum (PSLF)  delegation led by its president Zahid Malik met Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and apprised him about the problems being faced by Pahari people.
While speaking, Malik urged Union Health Minister to take up the demands of the Pahari speaking people including granting of ST status with Central Government for early redressal.
General secretary of the Forum Sayeed Wajahat Ali apprised the Union Minister about the various difficulties being faced by the Pahari tribe in the past and present era.
Syed Wajahat Ali presented a memorandum highlighting the deteriorating conditions of Pahari hostels and State Government’s apathy to provide scholarships to Pahari students.
Among others present were former MLC Ashok Sharma, Advocate KK Pathan, Ibrar Ahmed, GS Thakur, Meharban Singh and Wasim Bari.
