PSC draws flak

Sir,
Refer news item ‘Gujjars castigate PSC for unequal treatment in ST selections ‘DE July 3. There is certainly something wrong with the functioning of Public Service Commission (PSC) as it comes under severe criticism almost on daily basis now. Recently it was accused of unfair selections of Assistant Professors and 10+2 lecturers. Now Gujjars have criticised it for unfair and biased selection under Scheduled Tribe category. The premier recruitment making agency must restore its credibility and prestige by making recruitment process transparent and fair. Those involved in setting up question papers and marking them should be competent and honest. Involving Tom, Dick and Harry in recruitment process should be avoided. The involvement of corrupt officials will destroy the  edifice of this prestigious employment agency. It is expected that PSC authorities will heed to public resentment that is brewing day by day.
Yours etc…
