PSA discusses demands with DSE

JAMMU, Mar 2: Executive members of central body of Private Schools Association met with the Director School Education, Jammu Simrandeep Singh and apprised him about the problems being faced by the private schools of entire State in general and Jammu province in particular.
Kamal Gupta, president PSA informed the Director that some schools have been granted recognition in couple of days up to 8th standard which has created a ray of hope among the private schools. He demanded disposal off all pending files lying in his office by granting recognition as per the recommendation made by the inspecting officer. He also demanded fresh inspections of all schools by deputing inspection team to check the viability of a school for further extension in recognition.
Ajay Gupta State coordinator PSA urged the Director that different directions and orders are being issued by different CEO’s/ZEO’s which contradict each other. He while giving example said on February 23, 2015  Chief Education Officer Kishtwar vide his order No.CEO /K/15 /24917-935 Dt.23-02-15 has circulated an order to the Private schools to refund tuition fee from November 14 to February 2015 to class 10th students with in three days.
Similarly last year all CEO’s/ZEO’s of Jammu Province adopted their own nomenclature for the conformation/ countersignature of result of Private schools.
They appealed to the Director to issue relevant directions to all CEO’s/ZEO to avoid the harassment of private schools functioning in semi-urban, rural and far  flung areas.
Director School Education Jammu Simrandeep Singh listened to the members  patiently and assured that he will issue relevant directions to all CEO’s/ZEO  within couple of days.
The members who accompanied the deputation included/ Sanjeev Luthra, Ajay Singh Kotwal, Vaneet Gupta, Siddeshwar Sadotra and Ram Parkash.
