PRP asks political parties to join hands in restoration of peace

JAMMU, July 13: Peoples Republican Party (PRP) today appealed all political parties of the State to join hands in restoration of peace in strife -torn Kashmir Valley where over 30 people were killed and hundreds were injured in last five days unrest.
The PRP which met here today under the chairmanship of its president, Mir Ghulam Rasool also appealed the people of Kashmir not to fall prey in the hands of outside forces as they are hell bent in destruction of the Valley for their vested interests.
Expressing grave concern over the loss of precious lives in the Valley during last five days of violence, Mir said State of Jammu and Kashmir in general and Kashmiris in particular have suffered during last 26 years of turmoil and violence was not solution to any problem. He appealed both Union as well as State Government to show more magnanimity and restrain from use of force as this will not lead to any solution but generate more public resentment.
Mir also appealed both India and Pakistan to settle the issue bilaterally as good friendly relations between the two countries will automatically lead to settlement of Kashmir imbroglio.
He said bandhs and strikes are a loss to the economy of the State and business community in Valley has suffered a huge loss during the last five days strike. He also urged the Government to pay attention in settling the basic problems of people especially the unemployment issue by creating the employment opportunities for the educated youth.
He also expressed concern over the death of two boys who were drowned in river Jehlum in Waskoora today and demanded the compensation to the families.
