PRP asks PM to fulfill aspirations of J&K people

SRINAGAR, Nov 1: People’s Republican Party (PRP) in its meeting here, today has expressed the hope that Prime Minister’s forthcoming visit will be focused on fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the State who have suffered over the years due to mis -governance, corruption and dynastic rule.
Addressing the meeting president PRP, Mir Ghulam Rasool said that serious efforts are to be made to bring out the State of present mess as people have suffered immensely during 26 year long turmoil coupled with mis -governance and corruption.
He said it is the duty of the Union Government to come to the rescue of the State people who suffered due to the wrong policies of successive Governments over these years in general and last years devastating floods in particular. This is high time when people of the State be given a healing touch by announcing a relief package for the flood hit people, unemployed youth, orchardists, traders, farmers, houseboat owners, border people, refugees and displaced people so that the State is put back on rails.
Addressing the meeting Ghulam Mohammed Hamdard another senior leader said that the unemployment is main problem of the youth in the State and the GOi should show magnanimity to release funds to the State for taking up new power projects in hand as this will help in employment generation and also not only make the State self sufficient in power production but also in sale of additional power to generate extra income.
He said such a people’s friendly step will go a long way in putting State back on rails. G M Tramboo advocate, Mr War and other leaders attended the meeting.
