SRINAGAR, Aug 25: National general secretary of the Rashtriya Lok Jan Shakti Party, Sanjay Saraf today demanded to create employment opportunities and prepare a special employment package for the youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar today, Saraf said that employment is the key to peace and harmony and it is the need of the hour for the government to provide employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha is an able administrator and he should prioritize the issue of creating employment resources for the youth by demonstrating his ability. Saraf said that unlike other states, there is a lack of industries in Jammu and Kashmir, but the employment package can be developed based on horticulture and tourism here.
Saraf urged the party workers to make the party strong and stable at the ground level as the first priority. He said that the manifesto of the RLJP should be taken from door to door, so that the people get the democratic spirit apart from unity and brotherhood and developmental Agenda of the Lok Jan Shakti Party.
He claimed that founder of the party, Ram Vilas Paswan raised always concerned about the people of Jammu and Kashmir and that is the reason the late Paswan is still in the hearts of the people here. The in-charge of Kashmir Affairs of RLJP emphasized that the workers should use their energy to convey the problems of the people to the higher authorities.
Saraf expressed surprise over the issue of voter lists by local political parties and said that although they know that it is a non-issue, they are trying to mislead people emotionally. He said that these parties no longer have any issues, and they are making it as a big issue.
