KISHTWAR, June 18: National Conference central secretary and former minister Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today provided token cash assistance of Rs 5,000 and blankets to each family who lost their dear ones in the tragic landslide incident in Shasho area of Padder tehsil in Kishtwar district the other day.
Kichloo expressed condolences and solidarity with the families of victim women Zeenam, Maryam and Zareena of Pathernaki, district Kishtwar and wished early recovery of the five children including two girls who were injured.
The former minister sought enhanced compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to next of the kin of the family and adequate assistance to injured besides free specialized treatment.
Kichloo also asked the Government to provide basic amenities like shelter, food as well as the health care facilities for these people, as they had lost everything due to this disaster.
He was accompanied by Mool Raj Ex Sarpanch, Abdul Gani Lone Ex Sarpanch, Mohd Shafi Ex- Sarpanch, Noor Mohd, Farooq Ahmed, Gh.Hussain Lone and other party workers. They prayed for peace to the departed souls.
