Provide compensation to hailstorm hit farmers: Sat

JAMMU, Nov 1: Seeking adequate compensation for the farmers who were affected by the recent hailstorm, former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) visited fields of farmers at Ward 32, Saini Mohalla of Jammu West Assembly segment and talked to them about the losses suffered by them due to the hailstorm.
Talking to affected farmers, Sat Sharma said that a huge amount of loss has been suffered by the farmers due to the recent hailstorm which hit various parts of the Jammu province. He spoke to the concerned Advisor and the concerned Director and has brought the grievance of the farmers into their notices who have assured that adequate compensation will be provided to the farmers for the losses they have suffered.
Sharma said that BJP under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi have a pro farmer approach and within stipulated intervals of time, many instalments of Kissan Samman Nidhi have been released in favor of farmers which shows that Government is not behind but is working on the forefront to improve the lifestyle of farmers across the country, he added. He stated that the UT Government must also project the loss suffered by the farmers before the Central Government so that adequate compensation could be given to the farmer brothers.
District general secretary, BJP Karan Sharma, district media secretary Satyabhushan Dubey, Mandal vice president, Rajesh Saini, Abhishek Sharma, Raj Singh Saini, Raj Kumar Saini and several others were also present.
