RAJOURI, Mar 22: The students and locals of Dhani Dhar area today held protest demonstration and blocked road for about two hours in protect against the worst condition of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University road.
A large number of students and local people assembled near Dhani Dhar on University road today and started protest demonstration at around 9 AM. They were shouting slogans against District Administration and the R&B authorities for not initiating repair work on this road. The movement of vehicles remained suspended on the road for over two hours.
Later, SHO Rajouri Insp Chaman Gorkha reached there but the people refused to lift dharna from the road on the plea that they will not move even an inch till some body from the Administration reaches there. They kept raising slogans against DC, SE and Xen R&B.
Then after some time Tehsildar and AEE from R&B arrived there and they assured that repair work on the road will be initiated shortly. Then the people lifted dharna.
