RAJOURI, May 22: The people today held protest demonstration against police for its failure to trace a missing villager Junaid Ahmed.
The people from Bharatpuri village in Thannamandi tehsil came out on the road at tehsil headquarters and started protest. They also blocked the road and disrupted movement of traffic for some time. They alleged that Junaid Ahmed, son of Mohd Nazir went missing few days back. A report has been lodged with the police but it failed to trace him. The family suspects some foul play. The villagers alleged that police was showing no interest to trace the missing youth. Later, with the assurance of SDPO, they lifted dharna and suspended protest.
