RAJOURI, May 2: The people from Manjakote area today held protest demonstration and staged dharna at tehsil headquarters demanding setting up of Degree College and ADC’s post for the area.
The people on the 6th consecutive day of their protest program held strong protest and also blocked Rajouri-Poonch highway for about an hour from 11 am to at around 12 noon. They were shouting slogans against the Govt and also in support of their demand. A large number of vehicles remained stranded on the highway.
Later, Tehsildar and SDPO Manjakote arrived at the spot and they pacified the agitating people. Then they cleared the road and allowed smooth flow of traffic.
