Protest held against denial of civic amenities

UDHAMPUR, Sept 2: Alleging total disregard of various villages of Ramnagar constituency in development and allied sectors during the present BJP-PDP rule, Young Panthers today held a protest in Ramnagar town and raised slogans against the local MLA.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Dev Singh, State secretary of Young Panthers, said that 90% of the existing roads having got damaged in Ramnagar constituency and the departmental functionaries having failed to ensure their repairs and renovations.
He said that the power transformers remained un-repaired for months together with the power Department seeking money from the local people for replacement of such transformers on the pretext of transportation charges. The Panthers leader further expressed grave concern over the acute deficiency of teaching staff in rural areas schools.
Shankar Dass, Senior Panthers leader sought an enquiry into large scale frauds and irregularities in the Rural Development Department in Ramnagar constituency.
