POONCH, Sept 11: People staged a vociferous protest at Poshiana on Mughal Road today.
The protesting people alleged that commuters were being deliberately harassed and made to wait for hours on the name of checking. Many people said that they have been standing there since 10 in the morning and even after 5-6 hours, their turn did not come.
The protestors expressed their sorrow and said that besides dozens of sick women and children, many elderly people were suffering for six hours. “There is no water available, which causes more problems for patients and children,” they said and alleged that passengers are often harassed in disguise way.
They told that harassment is going on in the name of checking on the Mughal Road. There is no such case anywhere in the country, the protesting people said and demanded that the harassment on the Mughal Road should be stopped immediately.
They appealed the LG Administration and the district administration not to disturb the public at Poshiana check post.
