POONCH, Sept 11: Police arrested drug peddler and recovered 10 gram heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
Official sources said that, a patrolling party of PS Poonch headed by PSI Rahul Angral along with other officials of P/S Poonch were on their routine patrolling duty in Poonch town, during patrolling duty at about 14:30 hours on a reliable information one person namely Sukhpreet Singh @ Sukhi son of Tejinder Singh resident of Khalsa Chowk Poonch was apprehended by police and from his possession 10 grams of Heroin like Substance (Chitta) was recovered.
In this connection a case FIR No. 194/2022 U/S 8/21/NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Poonch and investigation has been taken up, some more arrests can’t be ruled out in this case as backward and forward links.
The recovery has been made by Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, SHO P/S Poonch assisted by PSI Farah Jabeen Magray under the supervision of DySP HQ Poonch Sh Nawaz Ahmed Chouhan, Additional SP Poonch Mushim Ahmed under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra.
